Here is an old comic of mine — it’s a play on the “not all men” thing that was going around a while back (first seen here).

So there’s an idea, in the dummy community, that if you take the sort of talk that socially liberal people will apply to white people, or men, and FLIP IT so it’s talking about women, or people of color, you PROVE how racist or sexist it is (against white men) because they misunderstand, fundamentally, the institutional nature of these things that make it a false equivalency. Whatever! So a bunch of people were mad at me, I guess, for noting that sexism happens and sent me a bunch of weird shit.

Image on the left: Someone posted on imgur saying “look how racist this guy is!” and left my copyright information on. Someone made one with that “Happy merchant” guy as “Not All Juden-Mensch” and sent it to me on twitter with the message “You’re jewish, aren’t you Matt?” but I can’t seem to find it anymore.

Image on the right: Someone redid it for gamergate! This dude is mad at the video game web site “Kotaku.” good for him. Someone hates women and loves videogames SO MUCH that they sat around photoshopping this one night.

One more, and it’s my favorite. Note the tumblr logo on his shirt! The guy says that I made the comic to get laid, and full disclosure: I got married the following month. Coincidence?
