A City Long Lost

There is something in this city that just won’t let you breathe. No, it’s not the pollution that is anyway getting worst. Tolerance is the word long forgotten from this city’s dictionary. All that is left now is tired souls with shallow life.

All I see a city full of ants running on auto pilot mode. Nobody smiles at strangers anymore or share a coffee table.

An idea gets crushed because no one has done it before. A dream gets thrashed because it is not conventional.

We all love to learn at the expense of others because that’s what the evolution has taught us. We don’t look up to find stars anymore, we google it.

When I go back home I shut the door hard in a desperate hope that these voices would stop following me but fail.
