What’s on your Thanksgiving table?
Let’s face it: we’ve all been pretty focused on the election. But Thanksgiving is coming, and it’s time to start thinking about all of the delicious food you’re going to serve and eat at Thanksgiving!
Over the next month, we’ll be sharing a handful of recipes from the LuckyBolt Kitchen that are sure to delight your holiday guests. Up first: sweet and spicy roasted pecans. Read on for the recipe!
Sweet and Spicy Roasted Pecans

These toasty pecans are a perfect pre-turkey nibble, and are equally delicious as a topper for salads, sweet potatoes, or ice cream.
5 cups pecan halves
2 egg whites
1/4 cup cane sugar
1/2 teaspoon each (ground): cinnamon, cumin, chili, ginger, cayenne, and salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and arrange oven racks in the top and bottom thirds of the oven.
Line two rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat egg whites until frothy.
Add sugar, spices, and salt, and stir to combine.
Add pecans and stir to coat pecans evenly.
Divide pecans between the two baking sheets, and bake for 10 minutes. Stir pecans and rotate pans, and bake for another 10 minutes.
Cool completely before transferring to a sealed container.
Store at room temperature.
