MIND — READING is finally here?

Scientists have spent many years in inventing the mind-reading machine, and today we have a chat bot that does exactly that!

One of the fundamental challenges of new high tech is the ability to create a machine that will have a unique ability that will understand the neuron’s vibrations. Technology came to the moment where a person is almost replaced with a robot. Some of them have feelings, some of them have a sense of humor and some of them are helping you become a better person in time. But the question is, can they read your mind?

The rumor has it. Letz has a NEW feature that can do exactly that! The friendly character Lucy, the chatbot that lives in Letz, from today on has ability to access your thoughts and show them to you, exactly like you meant them! I know it sounds unbelievable, but here is how it works:

When we think of something, signals from our neurons travel along nerves as waves of electrically charged ions. When they reach the nerve terminus, the signal jumps to the next nerve via chemical neurotransmitters. The receiving nerve decides whether or not it will fire. The Letz algorithm catches the waves, converts them into computer bits and tries to guess what you’ve meant. You can even create tasks with only thinking of them!

For those of you who want to know more, this is based on a deep research that was made by the Letz team for 3 years.

Learn in details how exactly a machine can transfer your thoughts into computer bits!

Many people will read this article and think that this is simply impossible. Or they will quickly dismiss these words and stay skeptical. However, the following part of this text is describing all the details and conclusions of the research that Letz made. The challenge for a machine to read somebody’s mind is finally achieved!

One fact was very crucial for the Letz’s research which is the moment when you think your mind is the only safe place left for all your secrets. It makes you think again because scientists are making real steps towards reading your thoughts and putting them on a screen for everyone to see.

A team from the University of Oregon has built a system that can read people’s thoughts via brain scans, and reconstruct the faces they were visualizing in their heads. Here’s how it actually works.

The researchers selected 23 volunteers and completed a set of 1.000 color photos of random people’s faces. The volunteers were shown these pictures while hooked up to an fMRI (Functional magnetic resonance imaging) machine, which detects subtle changes in the blood flow of the brain to measure their neurological activity.

Also, hooked up to the fMRI machine is an artificial intelligence program that reads the brain activity of the participants, while taking in a mathematical description of each face they were exposed to in real time. The researchers assigned 300 numbers of certain physical features on the faces to help the AI `see` them as a code.

Basically, the first phase was a training session for the AI (Artificial Intelligence) — it needed to learn how certain bursts of neurological activity correlated to certain physical features on the faces. Once the AI had performed enough brain activity — face code match — ups, the team started phase two of the experiment. This time, the AI was hooked up to the fMRI machine only and had to figure out what the faces hooked like based only on the participants’ brain activity.

It is still a totally new way of tech — functionality, but there is a huge potential here, and that`s pretty cool, especially then we consider just how technology like this can advance given the right sources. Maybe one day we will be able to cut out the middle man and send pictures — not just words — directly to each other using just our thoughts…

I hope that I made you learn something new today and what is left to do is to try Letz and see if this is really, but really working?
