THOUGHTS:
Speaking in tongues: we talked about it a little bit yesterday, but not too much. But speaking in tongues is a manifestation of being filled with the Holy Spirit, which is something serious. Many people say you can teach someone, but receiving the gift of speaking in tongues is something we must be patient and wait for Him and constantly pray to God and allow him to know this is what we desire. We never want to do this and use it as a show and tell; the gift of tongues is used to build us up.
•1 Corinthians 14:12 For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.
•1 Corinthians 14:22 Thus tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is a sign not for unbelievers but for believers.
•1 Corinthians 14:4 The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.
When we pray in tongues, we must understand that the Holy Spirit goes before the Father and tells him what we need. Sometimes, this ushers us in the presence of God so we can hear him; a lot of times, if we pray for long hours in tongues, which I want to say doesn’t make anyone no better than the person who prays for ten minutes, but when we pray for long hours in the spirit, we are building ourselves up in the spirit.
It takes us into higher realms of the spirit, and that is why I say morning prayer is essential to help us not to lose focus on anything that could happen because everyone is asleep, and we can turn our phones on silent.
When we pray in tongues, it helps us become stronger in the spirit; this isn’t to say we won’t fall into sin or into temptation, but this is saying that we become more assertive in God, another thing the Holy Spirit wants me to say is that when we pray in the spirit, we will grow into the spirit realm you might start seeing vision you might go into the spirit realm but whatever you do , don’t pray in tongues JUST TO GO INTO THE SPIRIT REALM, but pray always to become closer to God.
Many people don’t believe in tongues because they don’t understand it, but when we pray in tongues, it’s to hear him and grow closer to him. The more we do this, the closer we’ll become and the stronger we’ll become; some people become sleepy after prayer sessions, and some people feel a burst of energy, but whatever you feel, you always want to stay calm and wait to hear God’s voice.
Some people feel chills, and some people even get warm and sweat , but it happens to you; know this is a manifestation of speaking in tongues, but to speak in tongues, keep praying aloud and thank God, and you might even feel this swirling in your belly and if you do keep praying and whatever the Holy Spirit tells you to speak, speak and if you been praying for this gift for a while and still haven’t gotten it ask God to reveal to you what you could be doing wrong that could be causing the blockage.
Sometimes, we can cause ourselves not to access tongues because we aren’t living the way we should. God won’t pour his spirit into a dirty vessel if you cuss a lot; if you watch things, you shouldn’t; you won’t be able to see into the spirit nor receive the gift of tongues by speaking words of cruelty or profanity.

God will always pour into a clean vessel; if you’re praying on this gift of tongues, ask God to search you and wait; wait on the lord to show you the way and continue to seek friendship with the Holy Spirit, spend time searching his presence creating an atmosphere of praise and holiness.
***Today we learned about speaking in tongues , the thing we must remember once we start to develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit, our relationship won’t look like other people’s; we all are different, and we all experience different encounters, but we all must understand that we all are serving one God.
Speaking in Tongues is something serious and a lot of people want it but we must pray and ask God for it sit and wait for the Holy Spirit to lead you the way he wants you to have them I can remember desiring this gift so much that I asked God everyday to give it to me and one day when I got through praying I felt very warm and I felt so much peace come upon me and I start speaking and here comes the tongues and I prayed for hours in this way because I wanted more of God , if you have this gift learn to wait when your done to hear what he has to say to you !

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, please help us have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Lord, continue to show us what we might be doing wrong so we may grow. Lord, we ask you to help us stay focused on you, lord; please pour into us the pour of your spirit, lord; help us to receive the gift of tongues, lord, and allow us to have visions and dreams according to your will lord we thank you and bless your holy name in Jesus Name Amen
