VERSE OF THE DAY: + Luke 5:3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then, he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **

I WANT TO BE USED

I AM LEARNING FROM JESUS

I AM GRATEFUL

I AM FULL OF HUMILITY

THOUGHTS:

Today, we will talk about someone who was just a simple man, a fisherman named Peter. The first time he met Jesus was in Luke 4:38–39. “Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now, Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. 39 So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them. “ during this time, Simon didn’t know that his life was going to take a change; see, the power of God can fall on anyone at any time; we can sit here and say oh god cant use this person or that person because of their past or he can’t use this person because they can’t do this or that but God can use anyone and Peter is proof of that, the subsequent encounter Peter has with Jesus is in Luke 5 :3

•Luke 5:3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then, he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

•Luke 5:5–6 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.

In this verse, you’ll see Peter got his first command from Jesus, and at this moment, he could’ve been rude to Jesus and told Jesus, hey, I don’t want to do that. I have done this before; you can’t possibly know and go back and forth with Jesus, but Peter shows something we all must do to/have or carry the anointing: listening and obeying. A lot of us don’t want to obey the SIMPLE THINGS to walk in our calling; some of don’t want to stop doing the things we want to do, we want to keep doing what we want to do, and we learned this week we can’t do that and carry the anointing. Still, Peter was obedient, and he said yes, lord.

Verse 8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell to Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”

This part here shows another attribute we must have to carry the anointing: humility; he said go away from me. I’m a sinful man. Everyone wants to see Jesus; everyone wants to see God, but we aren’t worthy to see him; we aren’t worth dwelling in his presence, but Jesus wants us there to dwell in it; he desires for us to be near him, do you draw near to him, do you humble your self and say I need him because I am a sinful man or woman. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Throughout the three years that Jesus went, from here and there, he had his disciples teaching them and showing them how to pray, teaching them how to be kind and how to walk in the authority he had given them, but like all people, we all have struggles with something, it can be fear, it can be lust, it can be many things, but whatever it is we have to face it head on and give it unto the lord.

Are you ready to do that ? Peter was willing to serve, but the enemy showed him a side of his self he didn’t know , a lot of times we deal with stuff, and we never dealt with before because we never had a situation to come our way, we never had to rebuke the enemy or say no to deal with peer pressure we sometimes deal with such things because situation shows us what we need to work on and that moment came for Peter,

•Luke 22:56–57 Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at him, said, “This man also was with him.” 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know him.”

•Luke 22:58 And a little later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”

•Luke 22:59–60 And after an interval of about an hour, another insisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed

Peter denied Jesus three times because he was afraid, and fear can stagnate the anointing; it can kill a calling because when we are subsumed with fear, our mind freezes, and everything around us in our mind stops, but Peter was so hurt, embarrassed afterward that he denied Jesus the way he did, he was upset that he did this because he knew truly who Jesus was. Jesus is the king of kings. He is the Messiah, but Peter later remembers who he was, spoke to Jesus, and went forward into the ministry. but Peter showed on many occasions that he had anointing on his life

•Acts 5:15 so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by, at least his shadow might fall on some of them.

•Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

•Acts 10:16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

*** Today these accounts or gifts don’t just happen to anyone; they happen to people who are anointed and pay the cost. It is a cost to walk in the anointing this heavy; it is a cost a lot of people dont want to pay; it is picking up our cross, placing more time in God than what we want, studying, fasting, it is so much more then what some people want to give to carry the anointing of God we have to be self-less and let go of our wants and dwell in his presence, Are you willing to dwell? Are you willing to know him more? If so, seek him every day with your whole heart, and he will give you the desires of your heart . ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we thank you for life, health, and strength; we thank you for never giving up on us and not leaving us; lord, help us stay focused on you and pay the price for the anointing. Please help us to grow every day in your knowledge and wisdom. Lord, today we learned you can use anyone. Father, we ask you to use us, change us, and mold us into the person you want to be. We want to change, and be made holy, and live a righteous life. We ask you right now to be with us and show us, Father. We don’t know amuch but we want you to teach us and show us in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
