Uh oh, Vyvanse

So I’ve been taking Vyvanse for a while now, and it has helped me tremendously. I’m getting tons more work done, I’m hearing what people are saying during conversations, and I can read books enjoyably (not just listen to audio books)!

Just left the doctor’s office with an ultimatum: I get my high blood pressure down naturally through diet, meditation, and exercise, or I go on blood pressure medication. It could be stress at work, but we tracked my blood pressure readings and it only started to increase from 120s/80s to 140s/90s since I started taking Vyvanse. Correlation does not equal causation, and my job has become more stressful during that same period, so I’m not ready to blame it solely on the medication.

I’ve been taking my blood pressure at home for a month, and I’m seeing mostly 145/98, but there are a few 150s and 160s over high 90s. I even had a 196/102. Is that even possible? I’m in my early 30s and have stage one hypertension. Not cool.
