Everything is bigger in Texas, even the toast! Texas toast is bread which is sliced double the thickness of ordinary sliced bread. It’s as simple as that.
Usually the corners of texas toast are more squarish. It’s especially useful for dishes involving liquids, such as barbecue sauce, or where extra thickness could improve the product, such as French toast because it retains moisture and softness better than regular sliced bread.
