Are 4chan users not students either, then? They are mostly young men, but many young people don’t work full-time because they’re students. I’m curious about the class & social class element here. It seems they could be more or less evenly split between those who want/need to be working & aren’t, and those who instead have loads of free time because their parents are subsidizing their lives. I have no idea how that breaks down and I’m not sure anyone does — has anyone ever looked into that? I suppose what I’m asking is, are these mostly working class kids? Mostly middle & upper middle class? A bit of each?
