Angel: Book Review Chapter 2-Investing Playbook To Level The Playing Field

Jason Calacanis writes in Chapter 2 of his new book, Angel: How To Invest In Technology Startups, to give the playbook on how to do it. Why you ask would he be willing to give up the “how to” on Angel Investing? The answer is simple. If 1 out of 200 of you that read the book becomes an Angel, then Jason can invest with more educated Angels and have a positive impact on the world! This is truly a win win situation. Well as a Co-founder of a startup, I should say it is a win win win situation when Angels invest in the future. Angels, Co-founders and the world wins when it turns out right!

What about the dark side of when investments go south? Well, I am sure in future chapters, this will be addressed. I am just on Chapter 2 for now. Is Investing really just another form of “Gambling”? I think it depends on your definition of Gambling. I agree that if you want the chance of an out sized outcome, that you must take on risk.
