American Society for Nutrition Foundation Supports Scientists

As an Associate Professor of Epidemiology in the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Dr. Lydia Bazzano directs the Center for Lifespan Epidemiology Research and serves as medical director of the Bogalusa Heart Study. Additionally, Dr. Lydia Bazzano is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, as well as a member of professional organizations such as the American Society for Nutrition (ASN).

The American Society for Nutrition aims to advance scientific knowledge by supporting research and education in the field of animal and human nutrition. As part of that mission, the ASN operates the American Society for Nutrition Foundation (ASNF) to raise awareness and provide resources for individuals pursuing nutrition science careers.

The ASNF offers scholarship opportunities for undergraduates and gives more than two dozen scientific awards for significant contributions to the field of nutrition research and practice. Additionally, the foundation focuses on mentorship programs and international professorships that help early-career scientists advance their knowledge.
