the origin of w engines was done by volkswagen by by using a w6 in volkswagen passat w6 but it failed and was lower at configuration than other competitors so it was discontinued but w engines are still made like in bently continental GT speed which uses w12 engine and in buggati chiron supersport with a w16 which produces a stunning 1500HP .
the origin of v engine was made long back before w”s in around 1900 the first car producers with v engines were ford then it spread through many other industries currently v 6 , v 8 and v 12 are mainly produced by car industries like in lamborghini aventedor sv, svj v12 is used and in ford mustang v8 is used.
