What If We Designed College Around Students?
Richard Culatta

It is wonderful to see the positive reception towards the idea of applying UX methodologies to higher-education. It is also very enlightening for me to read the comments and come to the realisation that we need to go beyond the UX (design-side) and focus on the totality of the Educational Experience. I have been involved in eLearning, mobile-learning, technology-enhanced learning research for over a decade, which has been heavily focused on the impact of technologies (namely ICTs). I am convinced that UX is only one part of a broader, systematic approach to the “Technology Experience of (higher) Education. UX is a tool to help improve the Educational Experience. Whereas, the “Technology Experience” goes beyond UX and the technolgies themselves. Think about it. Now, I should write this up and share. :-)
