I’m not sure I know what to take from the map. I seems like a complex adaptive system, which makes it hard (at least for me) to imagine the company in full swing. I understand the theory of the individual components, but it’s unclear how the system would actually work in practice. The outcome that XPLANE is looking for seems very good. Is there more explanation in the book?
Erika, wait. So design sprints are snake oil…unless you do them right. If the point of the article is that fresh methodologies like sprints decay over time, it’s okay to title it that way. It’s an interesting subject on its own. Or, just tell us how to do sprints the right way. Why be overdramatic with your peers? Misleading titles can also be a form of snake oil :-)
