Recap of Matchain CEO, Petrix Barbosa’s, Interview at AWS Summit 2024 Hong Kong
At the AWS Summit 2024 in Hong Kong, Petrix Barbosa, CEO and Co-founder of Matchain, delivered an insightful interview on Matchain’s advancements and vision, emphasizing the critical role AWS plays in their operations.
Customer Experience and Data Control
Petrix opened by emphasizing Matchain’s dedication to customer experience and data control. He stated;
“Matchain attaches great importance to customer experience and helps customers take control of their personal data. AWS is the best choice to provide secure cloud services.”
Revolutionizing Digital Identity with MatchID
Petrix elaborated on Matchain’s mission to revolutionize digital identity and data sovereignty through their innovative platform that integrates artificial intelligence, decentralization, and data ownership. He explained,
“In today’s fragmented digital environment, users face the difficulty of managing multiple accounts and have little control over their data, which is often underestimated and exploited by centralized AI systems.”
To address these challenges, Matchain developed MatchID, a universal profile that seamlessly integrates Web2 and Web3 applications. MatchID allows users to understand and control the value of their data. Petrix noted,
“Leveraging artificial intelligence for data analysis and value enhancement, Matchain ensures users retain ownership of their data, driving engagement and promoting a fairer digital ecosystem.”
Empowering Users with Data Ownership
Highlighting the importance of data ownership, Petrix remarked,
“Data ownership is today’s most important yet scarce resource. If you look at the top five to ten of the Fortune 500 companies, these companies collect our daily information, but we have no control over the collected information.”
He further explained how Matchain uses blockchain to return control to individuals.
“Matchain hopes to use blockchain to solve these problems so that individuals can have their own digital wallets and digital footprint files, returning the power that belongs to individuals from large companies to the hands of individuals. Individual customers can also establish their own business value.”
Building Personal Data with MatchID
Petrix described the development of MatchID:
“MatchID is the first solution. It uses Single Sign-On and works on every platform and application from Web2 to Web3. We are committed to achieving large-scale adoption and obtaining big data to build business value.”
Focusing initially on B2C, Petrix shared,
“In B2C, users will use more and more applications and find their own value. For example, I am a very good gamer. Not only do I gain income from games, but I also unknowingly create more commercial value for these brands.”
MatchID’s Role in B2B
Petrix also highlighted the B2B potential of MatchID, stating,
“Other companies can implement MatchID through Matchain’s simple SDK. Users can use these programs extensively without feeling that they are using the blockchain. In fact, the blockchain is already exerting its value, collecting their data, ensuring they have full ownership of the data, and protecting personal privacy.”
The Vision for Match Hub
Discussing the future, Petrix introduced Match Hub, a versatile platform for various applications. He said,
“Match Hub is a platform suitable for social, gaming, DeFi, banking, and travel. You can think of it as a future app store with various programs. You can also think of it like the ecosystem of Netflix or Amazon Prime, but not just its own content, also content from other producers.”
Petrix emphasized the importance of a central platform like Match Hub:
“Regardless of which blockchain is used behind these programs, all need a powerful center like Match Hub. Match Hub attaches great importance to user experience, and we expect that the blockchain will operate behind the scenes, unnoticed by end users.”
AWS’s Role in Matchain’s Development
Concluding the interview, Petrix praised AWS for its scalability and support of Matchain’s rapid growth. “AWS’s high scalability meets the needs of Matchain’s rapid development,” he affirmed.
