I burned the ships !

Thanks for the great article. One of those pictures truly changed my life.

«Nothing Happens until After the Ships are Burned»

I’m 24, and was employed for 3 years in a great company in France.

I decided to try my luck as an entreprenneur, because I read too many of your good articles, Nicolas Cole articles, Gary Vee and friends…

My boss told me he was okay to give me a 6 months sabbatical to try stuff and then come back if things didn’t work out.

I thought «GREAT» !! But it was in fact a terrible decision that made me lose so much time… I always felt that I had a safety net, and did almost nothing professionally for three months.

Then, one morning I stumbled upon this article that I clapped 50 times now. The pictures about burning the ships had a big impact on me.

I sent my resign letter the following day, started to get in touch with coworking places, felt a surge of energy like never before.

My bosses were surprised and at first didn’t understand my decision, but I told them the story of this crazy conquistador who asked his soldiers to burn the ships in order to conquer Veracruz… no way to retreat, it’s now win or die !

So thanks a lot for this article, and all of your other ones. They never fail to motivate me.

I’m now in a cool coworking place building useful stuff for public transportation in my city, writing articles (in french) and having the time of my life.

Could I borrow you this picture with credits to write an article in French about the idea of Burning the Ships ?

Thank you so much,

Adrien
