Yahoo struggles to update their anti-spam filter
MiddleEastChristians.com is a Christian friendship site for Middle East Christians and as part of the signup process, users will have to verify their email addresses to access the the site. During our tests we noticed that Yahoo were rejecting our emails and that applied to emails sent to Yahoo.com, Yahoo.co.uk and Yahoo.fr
DKIM and SPF not enough
MiddleEastChristians.com uses AWS SES for sending emails and we have DKIM and SPF enabled for all our emails for verification and authentication, but Yahoo still treats our emails as spam so we contacted the Yahoo team to resolve the issue.
We explained the issue and been asked to submit a lot of information to find the problem but as soon as we replied we were informed that our ticket get closed (silently). So we did raise multiple tickets during this time period (6 tickets so far) and the Yahoo team kept on dragging on this case.
What happened with Yahoo spirit?
The encounters we had with Yahoo team was as of a team interested in closing support tickets rather than finding resolution, so we invested a lot of time to pinpoint the problem which we were expecting Yahoo team to do, since they should be able to tell us why our emails are marked as spam
Our brand MiddleEastChristians.com is marked as spam
After some research and testing from our side we noticed that emails containing our brand name MiddleEastChristians.com were rejected wheras same email without were delivered successfully, so we contacted the Yahoo team with our finding we were told that issue have been solved….
Email kept been rejecting so we contacted Yahoo team again and once again we were told the issue have been resolved, we tested immediately and realized that problem was not resolved and by time we had raised 6 support tickets and been informed by Yahoo team the issue was solved 2 times!

It’s sad to experience this with Yahoo which once used to be one of the biggest IT companies. We are not sure what is the problems inside Yahoo, but definitely there is something broken within the Yahoo Email team and as a startup we would love to invest our time in building our product rather that these support cases which so far have not resolved our email delivery issue
