Empowering the internet in a new way, MEET.ONE will initiate EOS Workshop at YunQi 2050 Conference
On April 27, 2019, MEET.ONE will host the only EOS forum in Yunqi 2050@2019, where a number of honorable guests gather together. In this most famed technology fest in Hangzhou, the whole day long MEET.ONE will systematically introduce EOS blockchain technology and EOS community ecosystem to thousands of young attendees, as well as discuss with them on how to empower the internet with blockchain. Brain Mehler at EOS VC, Block.one will also deliver a speech in the conference to share the evolution of dApp development and ecosystem investment.

Yunqi 2050 — a technology fest for youngsters

Yunqi 2050 was launched by the Hangzhou Yunqi Science and Technology Innovation Foundation initiative, supported by the local government of Hangzhou West Lake District, and it was made happen by the volunteers from all over the world.
In May 2018, the founding Yunqi 2050 was successfully held in the Yunqi town, with 100 youth get-togethers, 100 newcomer forums, 10,000 square meters of exploration exhibition area, daily morning run, youth stage, star camping, soccer match, basketball competition, go game, ACMer coding contest, 2050 Youth Award, Migratory Bird Program, blind-dating … This extraordinary event has attracted tens of thousands of young people interested in high-tech from around the world.
Last year, the entire city of Hangzhou was filled with the vibrancy, energy and enthusiasm by youngsters attending Yunqi 2050, its promotion video being repeated in Metro and on bus. Influential medias including CCTV Mobile Media, Zhejiang TV, Hangzhou Daily, Zhejiang Daily, Qianjiang Evening News, Tencent Big Zhejiang Network had all made special coverage on Yunqi 2050.
In the founding Yunqi 2050,MEET.ONE team launched the only EOS themed tech show and meetup to introduce EOS technology to the young audience. This was a good face-to-face meeting for EOS enthusiasts around the world.
Event highlights preview
- First show of EOS VC in China
Yunqi 2050@2019 is the first large-scale community event EOS VC attends in mainland China. EOS VC has great expectations on Chinese blockchain developers and looks forward to hearing more from Chinese community and understanding their needs via this trip to Hangzhou. EOS VC will host in-depth dialogues with outstanding teams and projects in Chinese EOS community to promote the future layout in China. In the interview, this March, Brain revealed that EOS VC had already invested in more than 20 startup projects, and they were also in talks with a number of Chinese projects, with more information to be gradually disclosed at the right time.
There are lots of EOS supporters in China, an essential force in the global EOS community. Last November, Block.one has published an article, The Race to Embrace Blockchain — And What It Means for the Global Economic Balance of Power. In this article, its Group President Rob Jesudason mentioned that there is no sign of a geography center established yet for the blockchain industry, but China has an obvious advantage. He analyzed the Chinese government’s optimism towards blockchain technology, and believed that China will provide a solid foundation for the development of blockchain technology.

3. Introducing EOS to tens of thousands of youngsters
This year, MEET.ONE will host a forum for a whole day. We will systematically introduce EOS blockchain technology to wide audience of youngers, helping them create their first EOS accounts and get to use the EOS network. Last year our team attracted a lot of youngsters interested in EOS, people were involved in discussions and were eager to know more about EOS technology, it wasn’t easy to explain it, because event was held before launching EOS Mainnet.
Evolving from BTC, ETH to EOS, blockchain had undergone a decade of development. Certain one-sided reports had demonized the blockchain, an advanced technology, causing many people holding wait-and-see or even negative attitudes towards it. An undeniable fact is that blockchain technology is maturing fast. EOS has been live for almost one year as a decentralized public chain that has the best probability to bring real benefits to everyone’s life. This year we will introduce EOS ecosystem to wide audience, helping new generation to experience EOS technology and form an objective understanding.
