MDP Statement on the Third and Final Presidential Debate

LANSING — The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement tonight, on behalf of Party Chair Brandon Dillon, regarding the third and final presidential debate that took place this evening in Las Vegas between Secretary Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump:

“Tonight, before the American people, Hillary Clinton showed millions of voters that she has the experience, steadiness, and strong leadership it takes to bring people together and get real results,” said Brandon Dillon, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party. “From refusing to say whether he’ll accept the results of the election to calling Hillary Clinton a ‘nasty woman,’ Donald Trump showed us, once again, that he is temperamentally unfit and totally unqualified to be president.”

“Just as she has done throughout her career and during this campaign, Hillary Clinton continues to talk about the issues that matter to all Americans, not just the wealthiest Americans. Donald Trump, on the other hand, continues to unravel and grows more desperate and dangerous by the day. The choice in this election is crystal clear — we can either come together to find solutions to the challenges we face as a country or let Donald Trump keep tearing us apart with his divisive rhetoric and dangerous ideas.”
