Michigan Democrats Condemn Kalkaska Official for Calls for Violence Against Muslims
Kalkaska village president Jeff Sieting has stated that he stands by his social media posts calling for the killing of all Muslims

LANSING — The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement today, on behalf of Party Chair Brandon Dillon, in response to statements made by the Kalkaska village president, Jeff Sieting, calling for the killing of Muslims:

“Kalkaska village president Jeff Sieting’s calls for violence against Muslims are not only vile but dangerous, and he should be roundly condemned by all Michiganders, regardless of political affiliation or ideology. The hardworking Muslim-Americans of this state are not just fellow citizens — they’re our neighbors, co-workers, friends, and family, and a call for violence against any of us is a threat to all of us. Anyone who would promote these sickening beliefs is not fit to hold public office, and his continued presence in that position is a stain on the state of Michigan.”
