Skubick on Schuette & Healthy Michigan: ‘It was clear to me that he’s not going to preserve it’
Reporters are reaffirming that Bill Schuette’s long, rambling Medicaid meltdown last week made clear he’s planning to dismantle Healthy Michigan — even though it provides healthcare for 680,000 Michiganders.
During a discussion on WKAR’s “Off the Record” about Schuette’s refusal to say if he will keep Healthy Michigan, Tim Skubick stated: “It was clear to me that he’s not going to preserve it.”
Chad Livengood from Crain’s Detroit Business responded that Schuette “won’t commit to that.”
“Bill Schuette can duck and dodge all he wants, but there’s no escaping the fact that his plan to gut Healthy Michigan would be a disaster for thousands of working families,” said MDP Spokesperson Sam Newton.
