All well and good… But holding a trial in the city where the shooting occurred is just crazy…

It would depend on which court the Trial takes place in. Oklahoma Law prevents a change of Venue if it is in their Municipal Court, however, if Impartiality is not possible then another Judge or Jurors will be brought in. If it is in the 14th District Court, which covers two counties, then a Venue Change is possible but not likely as Jurors from the neighboring county that is also part of the district could be used to ensure impartiality.
