The “Star Spangled Banner” isn’t that bad of a song.

Putting the institutionalized racism it ironically ignores aside, it measures up to and, arguably, surpasses most national anthems from a musical standpoint. In my opinion, of course.

But you are free to dislike it. As free as Colin Kaepernick is to refrain from participating in its honorary pregame ritualizing.
