None of the proposals will enable Bitcoin to overtake fiat currencies for retail transactions (at least not until fiat currencies self-destruct). The proposals differ in the technical competence of their development teams, and the risk they pose to Bitcoin’s decentralization. Giving control of the Bitcoin protocol to a centralized mining cartel would greatly harm the security, value, and philosophical foundation of Bitcoin.
