WHEN YOU LOSE HER, YOU’VE LOST HER

Pathetic as it may seem, it’s what we choose to believe.

That she’s yours for the taking, when you need her she’ll conceive,

So much flaw in that thinking, I’ll explain why if you’d follow.

She might wait around for a minute, take heed now not tomorrow.

Yes, she’s still in love with you but she’s found another,

It wasn’t out of spite, but where were you when she was under?

You felt you were caged for a period, you wanted to spread your wings bald eagle.

Real life has hit you now and in the hay stack you’re just a needle.

You need her to pull you out, you’re craving that cage you were once secure in,

She’s moved past your jokes, your company and the way you called her name.

She hasn’t forgotten the way you made her feel like the only girl in the world,

But your time is up now, you can’t pause and continue at your time, it’s not a game.

You had her, and you lost her; shame on you.

Leave her be & wobble in your aloneness, it’s what you deserve Eagle.

You will bounce back with another, but be rest assured; it’s not her if it’s not her.
