EFOSHM Active Noise Cancelling Headphones REVIEW

Headphones with quality sound and noise cancelling feature that works well

My favorite headphones to use at home while listening to lectures, music, or shows, is over-ear cuff style. I also prefer the line in cable for those scenarios because I can kill a Bluetooth-powered set quickly when doing work and then walk away without plugging them in. The EFOSHM headphones are very comfortable and the audio quality is fantastic.

Unboxing these headphones I’m greeted with a very nice black hardshell case which is so nice to have something to store them in, especially for travel. I’ve broken many pairs by throwing them in my bag and also it saves from the chords ending up wrapped around everything. The headphones themselves are solid black and the padding has a shine to it and the rest is matte black. The auxiliary cord is detachable but they are not wireless headphones. They do not seem overly bulky and have a nice comfortable fit on my ears. The noise cancelling feature needs 2 AAA batteries that unfortunately are not included. The power output is 100mW, and the frequency range is 30–20,000Hz. Included are adapters for airplane travel, which I will get use of in January.

While wearing these I did not experience any discomfort. The ear cuffs are padded just right in my opinion. The sound is definitely above a basic pair of headphones. There’s not an overly powerful bass, but just enough to satisfy. The clarity of the music is really clean and there’s nothing that I found that sounded off. These don’t get overly loud, so if you’re a person who likes to blast music these probably won’t be for you.

The noise cancelling feature is nice because it does drown out quite a bit but not so much that you will be in another world. There are sounds that you can still pick up and for me I had my eight-year-old son yell and when he was higher pitched I could hear it much more clearly. However, background noise is gone and it’s wonderful. These would be great to use if you were studying and wanted to drown out normal range noises.

Overall the headphones are a great set to have, especially for the noise cancelling feature. I will be taking these to CES with me in January for the plane ride there and back.
