I love iPhone cases. They are usually stylish, protective, and create a sense of individuality. My obsession with cases began many years ago when my phone dramatically fell to a hard tile floor. The result was that it was made unusable. Ever since, I have tried to make sure that my phone is well-protected. A naked phone just doesn’t feel right to me. My favorite kind of cases are the ones that add color as well as function. You get both those features with the iGlaze napa from Moshi.

Not too long ago, I composed a review on the iGlaze ion Battery Case also from Moshi. This case comes from the same family and in fact, you can use this case in tandem with the iGlaze ion’s battery pack. I will discuss more on that later.

The iGlaze napa has two main tones to it — the rich coloring of the vegan leather back and the complementary accent color of the frame. There are four different color combinations. I was able to test out the Midnight Blue option, which has charcoal gray as its accent color. The shape of the case melts around the natural curves of the iPhone. I personally have an iPhone 6 and have been really happy with the style of it.

The iGlaze napa case features hybrid construction that combines a shock-absorbing inner shell with a shatter-proof polycarbonate out case. As I mentioned before, the back is covered with a vegan leather to add a touch of class. This case proves that you don’t have to sacrifice style for protection, or vice-versa, but I actually had to ask, “What is vegan leather?” Well, as it turns out, vegan leather is what used to be known as ‘pleather’ and its making a comeback. It’s a completely animal-free leather that is usually made of materials like polyvinyl chloride, poly urthance, and textile-polymer composite microfibers.

All of the buttons and ports are very accessible and like its cousin, the iGlaze ion, the napa has a cutout on the back showcasing the Apple logo. As I found out with the other case, this cutout isn’t just for show. There is actually a small ledge built into the back that allows the iGlaze ion battery pack to attached to the napa like it was designed to go together. This is the first time I’ve found a case that matches up to a battery pack like the napa does. For me, this is a great added bonus because it means you aren’t just confined to the one case — one style. You can swap them out as you want to and you can still use the battery pack with both cases.

The napa is a very nice, durable case that provides style, class and protection for users. I recommend this case for any owner of the Moshi iGlaze ion as a secondary option for your phone’s individuality.
