Innoants Ultra Slim iPhone Battery Case REVIEW
Battery provides convenient power in a compact case.
I spend a lot of time using my phone throughout the day. Because of that, there are many times that I work my battery down to a pathetic percentage. I really appreciate battery cases as a phone accessory, but sometimes they are a bit too cumbersome for my taste. I’ve had several different battery cases and because I like to keep a case on my phone, I sometimes opt for the battery cases that come in two pieces. But, that means I end up carrying the battery portion with me most of the time because I never know when I will need it. It’s a frustrating battle that I have with battery cases, but for me, they are a definite necessity.
Technology accessory company, Innoants, has a very unique solution for this problem with their Ultra Slim iPhone Battery Case. The case is super slim only adding 3.8 mm to your iPhone profile. The battery is a 2400 mAh capacity battery, which provides iPhone 6/6s users with an additional 80% battery power to get your through the day. The frame of the case is made from aluminum-magnesium alloy that keeps the beauty of the iPhone design intact, while also giving a sleek feel to the case. There is a standard LED indicator light on the back of the case that shows you how much power you have left in the battery. To access it, you simply tap the ONE button (on/off button) once and the four LEDs will show you how much power is left. If you press and hold the ONE button for about 3 seconds, the charging function will start.
The case weighs practically nothing and perhaps the most intriguing part of the case is that it operates through a Lightning connection. The battery backing of the case has a one-sided Lightning connector. This will look a bit odd to users familiar with the Lightning cable because you normally see the double-sided version. But, since the phone can only go in one way, Innoants was practical and only included the one-sided version of the connector. I haven’t had any issues with my phone receiving a charge since using the Ultra Slim iPhone Battery Case.
Most battery cases utilize a Micro USB connection to receive a charge, but the Innoants Ultra Slim iPhone Battery Case uses a Lightning port. This means that you can use it with your standard iPhone charging docks and should have no problem charging/syncing with your Mac. One of my biggest pet peeves with battery cases is that you have to take them apart if you want to use a charging dock. The Innoants case is so slim that it fits right onto my iPhone charging dock.
The only issue I had with this case is how you get your phone into it. I will admit that at first, I was confused as to how to insert my phone, but I quickly found that the metal frame slides onto the battery backing. It’s a very unique design and honestly, one of the easier cases to use with a smartphone. Once you get the sliding motion started, you can slide the frame off of the battery back and pull your phone out.
The Innoants Ultra Slim iPhone Battery Case is a wonderful option for keeping you phone charged throughout the day. It costs around $40, which is very reasonable in comparison to its competitors. There isn’t a version for the iPhone 6/6s Plus yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they release one for it soon. I really can’t recommend this case enough. It’s slim, sleek and gives you the opportunity to use your phone uninterrupted.
