There’s No Such Thing As A Protest Vote

Clay, your cynical take on our choices for the election makes me want to cry. It becomes clear that democracy is a fairytale, if you are right. As Julien Assange said, choosing between Trump and Clinton is like having to choose between cholera and gonorrhea.
How is it that we’ve been put in this position? We have lost our democracy, so should we be docile or should we try to get it back? It doesn’t look like we will get it back by cooperating with the people who took it away from us, does it?
Thank you to Benjamin T. Awesome for his trenchant analysis of Clay Shirky’s post.
