As some of you may know, MadGum started as the play2earn project with our customizable NFT collection OG Custies on the Polygon blockchain.
Since the project hasn’t succeeded as we expected, we were looking for ways to rebrand our project with maximum benefit to our holders and web3 space. Here’s what we came up with.
MadGum Gallery
This is the first step we can start delivering at an early stage. We will collab with artists and create exhibitions where we will show their NFTs. The collab exhibition will be once every one-two months according to the current plan. Exhibitions will include works created in cooperation with our community.
Benefits for artists: They will get more attention and promotion.
Benefits for the project: Our project will also get more attention and we will charge a 10% fee on primary sales.
Benefits for holders: When we will generate more money from the sales of our NFT collection, we will choose curators among our holders. They will be responsible for selecting/curating artists and getting paid for this. In addition, all holders will have the opportunity to purchase the exhibited NFTs before the public sale.
MadGum Studio
We believe that projects can’t just count on the secondary market and need a real business model, especially now with all the recent controversy about royalties.
Our midterm goal is to establish a studio for both commercial and non-commercial work.
Commercial: Helping web3 projects with content production and marketing.
Non-commercial: We believe our studio needs creative projects to become a bigger web3 brand.
Benefits for studio clients: Marketing and content that meets their needs. Thousands of potential users among our holders.
Benefits for the project: The main source of income for the project.
Benefits for holders: Better conditions for our holders in clients’ projects. Priority for work in the studio.
MadGum Gaming
The previous project’s utility was our game “Flip the chip”. All holders could mint free chips with their characters and play for them.
Since the game is halfway done, we will finish the development after sold out. Chips will be our governance token. All holders will get an equal amount of chips for every Custy. They can play for them or trade on the secondary market.
