Alignment with the UAE

Innovation has always been at the core of the UAE’s development strategy. In February 2018, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the National Strategy for Advanced Innovation, which seeks to transform the UAE into a global laboratory for experiments and ideas. For example, Dubai Future Accelerators aims to match Dubai Government entities with forward-thinking, innovative companies from around the world to collaborate and create smart solutions that tackle existing challenges and prepare us for the future. Expo 2020 is fully aligned with the UAE’s national agenda. From driving commercial partnerships and encouraging international participation, to supporting new sectors and investing in the next generation of youth, Expo 2020 Dubai is driving growth and supporting the city’s efforts towards economic diversification.

Thematic Pavilions and Country Pavilions

National and Honour Days at Expo 2020 Dubai were moments to celebrate each of Expo 2020’s 200-plus International Participants, shining a light on their culture and achievements and showcasing their pavilions and programming.
