Maybe I’m McDonald’s and Medium is Wendy’s, and we’re both selling hamburgers but providing different experiences. Or maybe we’re two Burger Kings in the same shopping plaza and people are confused.

What does it say about our culture that this was the clearest and best way to make us understand what Carina was getting at? Taught by advertising and reinforced through neighborhood saturation, we all know the subtle differences between McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King to make this an apt and telling analogy.
