A little publicized fact that might change your analysis a bit is that whilst Dai is currently collateralized with only Ethereum, this summer the multi collateral version will be released. By diversifying the collateral portfolio such that it is no longer correlated with ETH or even cryptocurrencies in general we will make the risk of a black swan induced failure essentially impossible.
