7. Paint your fence

Something as simple as just painting your fence can make a huge difference. If you’re bold enough to make a dramatic statement, you could let your artistic imagination go wild and use the fence as a canvas.

8. Make your own garden canopy

Stake 4 posts into the ground and sretch the material between them to make your own elegant canopy. You could even hook 2 ends to a wall and have just 1 stake for a cheaper triangular alternative.

9. Renew your lawn

Although lawns can sometimes be overlooked, they are an important part of your garden.

If your lawn looks shabby and in bad condition, it can bring down then the rest of your garden. Rake up any dead grass and then feed your lawn regularly with simple lawn feed you can buy cheaply from most shops. Get one with weed and moss killer included to get your lawn to its best condition.

10. Add decorative planters or plant pots

Plant pots and planters can add focal points to your garden. They can come in all sorts of shapes and designs so you can go from traditional to contemporary depending upon the look you are going for in your garden.

Why not try making your own planter, I’ve created a course that shows you how to build a decorative planter. You can get this for free as well on Skillshare: https://skl.sh/2UsD6mA

Let me know in the comments if you have any other ideas for adding a new lease of life to your garden or if you’ve had a go at one of my courses; I’d love to see pictures of what you’ve done.
