It has been my experience that the greatest impediment to content creation for most businesses is exactly what you describe. They want to write something perfect. Something that impresses their friends, family, best customers, and themselves. Something that’s so innovative that even they learn something new.

I use the phrase “blogging is like jogging” a little too often, but I like the analogy because getting out there and generally wobbling in the right direction for 30 minutes is far more important than running with Usain Bolt precision. Even Usain Bolt sucked when he first started running :)
