Life as a barista
At Momo Lolo Coffee House, the baristas work each day making the same cup of coffee. I wanted to dig deeper and see what they loved most about their jobs. I interviewed Hannah who works at Momos. I stopped in and interviewed her in person. I focused primarily on why she works at Momo Lolo Coffee House and what she loves about her job.
Q: When did you start working at Momo Lolo Coffeehouse?
A: Since the beginning of this summer
Q: What is your favorite thing about working here?
A: I love my co-workers and the customers are great as well.
Q: Do you think that Momos is a popular place for students to come study or catch up with a friend?
A: I think people like to come study here because it’s pretty laid back and affordable. We treat our customers really well.
Q: Do you think Momos has a similar environment to central perk in friends?
A: That’s a pretty solid question. I’m gonna have to say yes!
Q: What’s the craziest customer you have ever gotten?
A:One guy came in once and was tripping. I don’t know what he was on but he was totally on drugs. He came in and asked for paper because he just wanted to color. He pulled out colored pencils and spent 15 minutes coloring and being super serious and then just left.

Q: Is there anything you would change about Momos?
A: I wanted to do cold brew coffee. Right now we pour hot coffee on ice and it’s not as legit. Our boss generally listens to our suggestions so well probably start doing it sometime this summer.

Q: How much coffee do you drink?
A: At my worst it was 12 shots every day but now I’m starting to cut back and now I’m at like 2 to 3 shots or a few cups a day.
