Do You Know Who You Are — Starting With The Basics

I consider myself a seasoned wife, seasoned mom, and a seasoned woman all the way around. Because of this, I feel like I have a lot to share about mistakes I’ve made, the ones I still make and the ones that WILL happen. BUT…I want to help save you in one significant area of living. Can you answer this question? Do You Know Who You Are?

What I’m about to tell you isn’t rocket science, and it isn’t anything complicated, but it is life-changing. Now, some of you will make it complicated because you will find every excuse in the book, but stick around, and you will appreciate the journey.

This journey is something most of us teach our kids every day, but we fall short of it. We fall short simply because we wear too many hats and forget about SELF. Ohhhhh……BOOM! You read that right; you need to pause girlfriend. Like, really. Just chill and sip on your “coffee” to check yourself. Get to know YOURSELF and RECONNECT!

You see, we land that dream job and work 18 hours a day. We get married, and all of our energy goes toward our spouse. We have kids and feel we have to stop living. Yo, DON’T get me wrong, we MUST take care of our families, and we MUST work to live. However, we must NOT forget about SELF. And to take care of our self, we must KNOW our self.

Do You Know Who You Are

So, let me ask you a simple question: Do You KNOW Who YOU Are? Yeah, we sometimes forget who we are because we are so busy being other people for so many other reasons. It doesn’t always mean you are fake, but there may be a disconnect between who you are, your likes and dislikes, etc.

In this video, I begin this series with three simple questions. They are important, trust me. Just follow me on this journey to Know You, Be You, Love You!™

As women, we are faced with so many pressures that we forget about our interests, our likes, and our dreams. Has your husband ever asked you where you want to go eat? Your answer is usually, “it doesn’t matter.” It can be numerous reasons for saying it doesn’t matter, but it’s usually because you don’t know what you like anymore. Part of that is because you don’t know who you are anymore, yeah we change over the years. Maybe you struggle with being happy? No, I’m not saying you have to be happy all the time, we all have bad days. But you may find yourself being happy more often if you know yourself a bit more. Come on and join me as I give my two cents on this subject, there will be more posts and videos to come (weekly).
