Please Hit on My Girlfriend

I like to give my girlfriend a call at least once or twice a day. Usually its before dinner or right before bed to ask her about her day. Today was the second time this year, she told me one of the patients was hitting on her. This makes me so happy.

You want to be with the girl or be at the job that other people are vying for. I might question myself if I was in the job no one else wanted or with the girl no one else thought was attractive. When people are hitting on my girlfriend, it doesn’t mean she is trying to cheat on me or that these guys are being rude. They are checking if she is spoken for and are interested in being the guy that I am already for her. So better watch yourself homie?!?!

Where was I? My relationship with my girlfriend is amazing. We work hard to grow each other and want each other to have relationships and networks in our lives that help propel us forward. This includes both guy and girls. How silly would it be to force her to cut off half the world’s population of people that can be her friend or be part of her professional network because of my own insecurities?

I choose her everyday and I hope she chooses me everyday. Its an active choice. I do not try to shell her into a hole so no one better can come along and talk to her. We are both confident people that choose each other every day.

So please hit on my girlfriend. It’s a compliment to her, and reminds me that I made the right choice. And the fact that she doesn’t run off with you means I am doing something right.
