Depression and how you can overcome it.

Depression is a feeling of sorrow, disappointment & misery. It is a regret. It is a mental illness. According to a study, approximately 280 million people around the globe are suffering from this mental illness (depression). It is a common illness and around 3.8 per cent of the total world population is currently affected by depression. 5.0% of these depressed people include adults who are above 20 and 5.7 per cent of them include above the adults who are older than 60 years old. It is a mental disorder and a huge number of people commit suicide due to depression.

Some of the symptoms of depression are:
1) Losing interest in the things that you once enjoyed doing.
2) Feeling sad.
3) Not giving heed to the people that are important in our life.
4) Get angry about minor things.
5) Having a problem sleeping.
6) Willing to commit suicide etc.

Every other person is going through depression and if one doesn't overcome it, he is just a walking dead body roaming around. Depression will slowly but continuously affect your brain and your mental and physical health.

Someone is depressed about studies, someone is depressed about his/her recent breakup or divorce, whereas some of them are depressed about something that is unnecessary but usual in society.

There are some ways on how you can overcome depression. Obviously, the most effective method to overcome your depression is that you should go for medication. Concern your doctor. Bot if you don’t want any medication then there are several ways to overcome your depression like:

By being a reason for someone’s smile. One of the very effective ways to overcome depression is to exercise regularly and perform some physical activity like playing some sports, going for walk etc, and eating a healthy diet and staying fit physically and mentally.
Spend your time with the people who you think will help you in your critical situation. If you don’t have anyone to talk to or if you do not have any friends then you should spend your time watching some good movies or reading some good books. Spend some time with kids because kids ultimately make you smile and that will help you from getting out of depression.

Everyone has some problems in their lives and they have to solve them with firm determination and bravery. The one who is scared of problems in life is a coward. Don’t be a coward. Live your life freely. Depression, Obstacles, Hard times, these are part of life. The tough time comes and goes. You just need to be brave to face different circumstances in your life. Never remember your past mistakes. Don’t let your past mistakes ruin your beautiful future & Always remember that:
“Pain is the price of progress”
