Why Social? Digital Daughter Ambassadors Speak Out

As a consumer tech communications consultant, and a passionate advocate for girls/young women, I have been exploring how the Internet and social media is influencing our tweens and teens. To get real insight, I have been cultivating a group of Digital Daughter Ambassadors (on Facebook OurDigitalDaughters) from around the country who, per boyd, have biases but also share common ideas about social media, what we as adults don’t understand, which services are their favorites and why social media is here to stay.
