Cancellation policies of car hire companies

It is advisable to book a holiday in advance to get the best price and offer on the market, especially as for car hire from malaga airport, as this is a practice that is up in Spain, the units available may be limited. But how do you proceed in order to make a change or cancellation in a reservation already confirmed?

As a general rule, reservations can be canceled or modified at no cost between 24 hours and 7 days after the formalization of the reservation, provided that it is made more than 20 days in advance and depending on the policy of each business. Also, after this period, if it is decided to cancel the reservation until 24 hours before the collection of the vehicle, the money already invoiced will be refunded except for compensation that in any case should not be higher than the price of three days of rent.

One must also take into account that all hire car enterprises have their own cancellation policies, which should be consulted before formalizing any car rental. Another aspect to keep in mind is that if you do not show up to pick up the vehicle on the date and time agreed with the car rental company, it will charge the full price of the rental. Arrangements are made online or by telephone.
