Michael, Kobe and Dwyane have more in common than just being professional athletes that play the same position. Each of them had the talent to make it to the NBA. But there is a reason why they stand a part from the masses. They are relentless.

What does it mean to be relentless?

Tim S. Grover trained Michael, Kobe, and Dwyane in their primes. He has first hand experience of what it took for each of them to achieve the success that they did. In his book Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable, Tim reveals lessons that have allowed these stars to maximize their abilities. These lesson aren’t just meant for athletes but for anyone who is looking achieve their goals. Below are 6lessons that have inspired me to be relentless.

Lesson 1: Do the work every day

We all have 24 hours. What separates the good from the great is what we do with those hours over time.

Lesson 2: Be Comfortable being uncomfortable

When we get out of our comfort zone we grow. We learn more about ourselves and more importantly we learn what we are truly capable of.

Lesson 3: Create a plan and act

Don’t just talked about the things you want to achieve, write down actionable steps and put them into motion.

Lesson 4: Surround yourself with a supportive team

We are all capable of greatness but when we pair with others we can achieve more than we ever could alone. There will be times when you need that support system there to guide you and push you forward.

Lesson 5: Never stop learning

The moment we stop prioritizing learning is the moment we stop growing. We live in a competitive age where knowledge is power.

Lesson 6: Don’t fear failure

When you think you can fail you undermined your own efforts. Failure is only a mentality. It truly doesn’t exist.
