Bravo on your week! You don’t have to give up drinking forever, just don’t drink today and see how it goes. Shame and judgements are counterproductive. It’s excess baggage you can put down. (I tell you this as a way of telling myself.)

I’ve been clean and sober for a while, and it no longer feels like a big accomplishment, but that’s OK. I’m just in the habit of not drinking or taking recreational drugs. Like Andy, I might or might not drink tomorrow (honestly, probably not). Whether I do or don’t is no longer high stakes. In the program we say, DRINKING IS NOT AN OPTION!!!, but I’ve gotten to the point of drinking just isn’t on my radar most of the time and when it is, it’s easier and lazier to not drink. That’s a lot less pressure and drama.

Happy New Year! Best of luck to you today (or tomorrow if it’s already tomorrow today) whatever you decide to do today.
