I think we are on to something here. Right off the bat, I can think of some parallels.

  • Coffee beans that have been eaten and pooped by civets. These beans are “ultra premium” products sought by mentally imbalanced aficionados. (I theorize that the diet of these aficionados lacks some element that is provided by civet poop.)
  • Clay baking is a thing in some regional cuisines, appropriated by fusion chefs catering to foodies looking for new experiences. Clay is dirt.
  • Dirt contaminated from toxic spills is considered a bad thing. But is it really? Or does it just need a public makeover? If people can be convinced that injecting toxins into their face makes them beautiful, why can’t we do this with “chemically enhanced” dirt. (New and improved! with more heavy metals!)
