Why ‘reverse’ oppression doesn’t exist
Lola Phoenix

Thanks for this thoughtful unpacking of the term “reverse racism” and related concepts of oppression.

It always seems to me that those folks that use the term “reverse racism” are upset when non-whites overturn the natural of order of racism as God intended it. Non-whites criticizing whites is as shocking to their sensibilities as would be water flowing up hill.

It’s more than merely being ignorant of the systemic nature of racism. Set that aside. When the term “reverse racism” is used, the inherent message is that it’s is racism flowing in the incorrect direction.

I’m 100% certain the same thing is going on with other delicious flavors of oppression.
