You didn’t specify why, but I imagine you’re looking for that balance between “free healthcare hypochondria” and making time to see the doctor when it’s really needed (many tend to tough it out and too high a cost reinforces this). The other reason I can think of is that when people invest money in something (such as their health) they take it more seriously.
