Ford Police Interceptor Sedans Malfunction Causes the Recall

Ford Police Interceptor vehicles recently faced malfunction problem. There were cases when the engine could not be started and that directly affected the proper work of the Police. Today Ford decided to get the vehicles back to the factory to look into the case and repair all spoiled ones. Actually 88,000 cars are damaged (mainly vehicles, produced at the time of 2013–2015).

It is suspected that the car stalls and can’t be started again because of the fuel pump control modules which fails. Danger to Policemen’s life is obvious if that happens on the go. Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT produced between 2013–2015 have the same problem too. It should be mentioned that the recall is applied to vehicles with 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 but doesn’t apply to Explorer-based Police Interceptor SUVs.
