The red streaks of a painted rose
leak toward the corpses that rose.
Life soaked back into their veins
to represent no death in vain.
And as the season turns to fall
The rotting flesh will begin to fall.
And even if the skin is dyed
Their souls were the first to have died.
And even if the rose still oozes red
let’s keep the stories of the undead read.
