God, I forgot how much of a dick this guy was. I really can’t stand it when guys (and in my experience, it is usually guys) who constantly feel the need to make women prove that they can hang — that they would still love him if he were poor (like that episode of Millionaire Matchmaker where the girl thinks they’re going on a nice date, but the millionaire instead has them go clear out junk from one of his properties. She, rightly, never wanted to see him again and Patti Stanger chewed him out). It’s punishing people for your own insecurities, and it’s a really ugly behavior.
