Sleep Deprivation — The Self- Imposed Prison of Self Sabotage, Self Deception and Self Betrayal
Yes you are right Victoria, sleep deprivation has been used as a punishment and torture for centuries. Basically sleep deprivation has been used to slowly break a person down.
I love what you wrote, “We are punishing ourselves with sleep deprivation to support our lifestyle and having the latest gadgets.”
I believe sleep deprivation is a weapon of mass destruction to our health.
We have to learn how the Europeans live. They work to live, they don’t live to work. They have a healthy balanced lifestyle with their food, excerise and sleep. They do it all while dancing through life, having fun and enjoying the lifestyle that they have created for themselves.
How can we enjoy life if we are punishing and torturing ourselves by depriving ourselves of sleep?
How can we have health without sleep?
How can we heal ourselves without sleep?
How can we even function without sleep?
How can we be productive and innovative without sleep?
Something that I frequently see with some of my business clients and many other professionals is that they push through their work which is their life regardless of what the cost is to their health. This is what I call, “The Self Imposed Prison of Self Sabotage, Self Deception and Self Betrayal™.” It’s an extremely persistent and prevalent problem that many suffer from, and regretfully most busy professionals don’t even realize what they have done to themselves until they are sick or chronically ill.
The Self Imposed Prison of Self Sabotage, Self Deception and Self Betrayal is going deep into the Rabbit Hole of Exhaustion, Distraction, Distortions, Prisoner of Perpetual Perfectionism & Pessimism, and Destruction. This is a very sophisticated covert stealth system running through the core of someone’s life, at times preventing them from fulfilling their dreams and goals. If a person is in this continuous constant state of constriction it will negatively impact their nervous system, which in turn affects their health and wellbeing, some people will get chronically ill. When this happens at times it negatively impacts their businesses.
Lots of Love,
